Naminori Kakigoori is the second single release from Not yet. after scoring one of the best debuts for an AKB48 sub-unit with their previous single "Shuumatsu Not Yet" who took the top spot on the Oricon Weekly Chart the moment they released it, Yuko Oshima, Rie Kitahara, Rino Sashihara, and Yui Yokoyama returns with references to summer staples like surfing at the beach and a cup of sweet shaved ice, the upbeat party tune is designed for a fun day in the sun.
It was released in three versions: two regular CD+DVD editions (A and B) and a regular CD-only edition (C). the single comes with two original hits Felmel no Tegami and Hagu Tomo, includes Vermeer no Tegami as its B-side track. Type C Version includes Boku Tachi no Offshore as bonus track.
